The Internet Services Provider’s Association has shortlisted Yealink’s ground-breaking VP-T49G executive videophone for its 2016 Customer Premises Equipment award.
An independent judging panel selected the new dual-port Gigabit Ethernet model which is arguably the first on the market to make video the primary medium, rather than simply an attractive adjunct to voice communications. This is due to its incorporation of a particularly generous 8” (20.3cm) 1280 x 800 pixel multi-touch LCD screen.
The VP-T49G is the third Yealink model to be shortlisted in the ITSPA awards which are now in their sixth year. In 2012 the SIP-T38G executive IP telephone won the award for which the VP-T49G is now shortlisted, whilst its predecessor, the VP2009 videophone also reached the 2010 final in the same category.
“To have again been shortlisted in these prestigious awards highlights Yealink’s dedication to continuous technological and ergonomic innovation in order to meet and anticipate customer demand”, said Steve Watts, Yealink UK’s general manager. “We are proud that, through these awards, our industry peers consistently recognise the boundaries Yealink pushes in terms of standard feature sets, design, technology and value.”
Commenting on the quality of the field in this year’s awards, Eli Katz, Chair of ITSPA Council said, “The ITSPA Awards continue to go from strength to strength, with this year’s entries providing a particularly strong set of finalists. I am proud that the quality of the finalists genuinely reflects the strength of the rapidly developing next generation communications industry.”
The VP-T49G has enjoyed a warm reaction from resellers and internet service providers thanks to the coupling of a strong feature set and sharp price point.
The new model, which is backed by Yealink UK’s market-leading lifetime warranty, also offers integral Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI and USB outputs, a 2MP HD camera with privacy shutter, recording facility and five-way audio/video mixed conferencing functionality.
It also supports a wide range of IP-PBX features such as call recording, paging, BLF, BLA, MWI, anonymous call (with rejection), remote office and hot desking.
In line with other products in Yealink’s highly acclaimed T4x series, it is also certified for use with a broad range of IPBX solutions, including Avaya, Asterisk, Broadsoft and 3CX platforms.
