YEALINK LAUNCHES FIRST IP DECT HANDSET INTO UK MARKET
SIP telephony specialist Yealink is today (Monday February 18) launching its much anticipated IP DECT handset into the UK market.
Equipped with a full duplex HD (G.722) speakerphone the new W52P model has been specifically designed for application in the SME and SoHo (small office/home office) sectors. The first IP DECT handset to be launched by Yealink offers an extensive feature set including remote phonebook, three-way conferencing, caller ID, call hold, wait, transfer, divert and forward.
Supporting up to five VoIP accounts and four simultaneous calls the base station will host up to five cordless handsets and give an indoor range of up to 50m (164ft) and a maximum outdoor reach of 300m (984ft). The handsets themselves incorporate an attractive 4.6cm (1.8") TFT colour display with a generous talk time of up to 10 hours and stand-by of up to 100 hours. Integrated PoE also means base stations can be conveniently installed across a network to provide optimal coverage.
Despite its high specification the new model will retail at just £99.95 (+VAT) for a base station and handset package, with additional handsets priced at £67.50. Those prices include full UK technical and customer support when purchased through Yealink UK's official distributor partners.
Yealink UK's managing director says the launch of the new model will help open new doors for its resellers in UK and Ireland. "The rapid growth of broadband networks in both small business and home environments is making IP DECT technology an increasingly attractive option. Like all devices in Yealink's comprehensive range, the combination of a particularly strong feature set and an incredibly competitive price point means the W52P is set to become the go-to model in the small business market."
